Sunburst Card

Good morning.  Hope this finds you all well. Yesterday  we decided to go for a bike ride. John got the bikes out whilst I was serving up lunch so that we could be on our way after lunch.  And then it got very, very dark, rolling thunder and the heavens absolutely emptied!  What a deluge. I'm glad we decided on lunch first otherwise we would have been out in it.  Ah, the joys of the British summer.

Please scroll down if you are looking for my CCC card

Today's card is my DT card for the OSAAT challenge "Anything Goes With Flowers".

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card - Papermania card stock
Papers - "Spring Blossom" pack from Panda Bear Designs

I saw this technique on Splitcoast Stampers and decided I would give it a go. I think it looks so pretty and very easy to do.  I will certainly be dong it again.

Why not pop across to the blog and find out what my teamies have made and perhaps you might feel inspired to join the challenge? This is what you could win so why not have a go?

Well that's it from me today.  I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Take care.

Cute Image for Christmas Card Club

Good morning to all my frieds and fellow bloggers.  If you arrived here by chance I do hope you like what you see and come back for more. Please leave a comment and if you have an active blog I will return the favour.

Once again it's time for our little club to make another Christmas card. We make a card every other week, and I can't believe we are half way through the year.  Where have the months gone?  Sylvie is our host this time and she wants to see cute cards.  I am posting my card a day early becasue I have another project scheduled for tomorrow.

My Card

Recipe
6" square silver base card - Dovecraft
Grey pearlescent card - from stash
Twinkling Snowflake Duet - Memory Box
Blue ribbon and pearls - from stash
sentiment - computer generated

I'm afraid I don't know where the image is from.  It has been in my Christmas digi folder for a very long time and never used until now. I'm sure it was a freebie from somewhere. I diecut the snowflakes from white card, sprayed with adhesive and then drenched with baby blue glitter. Unfortunately it doen't show too well in the picture.

Take care and enjoy the weekend.

Wedding Couple

Good morning, and it looks quite bright out there this morning.  Yesterday was pretty good too - certainly made a change from all the rain over the last week.  But at least my wells will be full - always a bonus, as my sister says! (If you are new to my blog our place is isolated and we are not on the mains for water or sewage so rely totally on rainfall!)

I have a few wedding cards to make over the next couple of weeks so here is the first.

My Card

Recipe
5" x 7" base card - Crafters Companion pearlescent card stock
Lilac card - Hobbycraft
Tied Together e/f - Couture Creations
Topper - Lili of the Valley
Sentiment - freebie from Netties Cards
Pearl sprays - Hobbycrafts
ribbon - from stash

I have had the topper for many years and it is so cute. It was when LOTV did a sheet with various sizes.  I always thought the tiny ones were useless and ended up with all those left over, so I was pleased when they changed the format - but far from pleased when they withdrew them altogether!!!

Well that's all from me today.  John has a dental appointment in town so I might tag along for the ride and have a "mooch" around the shops, not something I do often.

Hope this finds you all well.  Take care.

PS I obviously spoke too soon - it has started raining!!

Star Of Wonder

Good morning. Gosh we have had so much rain!  We were certainly lucky for our  holiday last week and very thankful we were not going this week.

Well this card for the Christmas Card Club should have been posted on Sunday 12th but having just got back I had no time to do it. Anyway, I have managed it now.  Zoe was our host this time and she asked us for "Star of Wonder" or "Anything Goes".  It was a struggle but I really wanted to go with Star of Wonder rather than taking an easier option.  Sorry I'm so late Zoe but I got here in the end!

My Card

Recipe
5" square scalloped card base - Rymans
gold mirri card - from stash
Christmas Star - Joanna Sheen Signature Dies
Small stars - Memory Box Cosmic Stars

I remembered that somewhere I had these scripts so I searched my system till I found them and then added all three. I kept it CAS - mainly because I just wasn't sure what else to do ...!!  Very flat for posting which is a big plus. I apologise for the poor quality of the picture but it was very difficult to get a good one.  It was so dark that I just had to use flash which then bounced off the mirri card.  Still, you have got the idea I'm sure..

Hope everybody is well and not drowning in water.

Take care.

A Greek Window

Good morning.  I'm sorry that I have been missing all week but we booked a very last minute holiday and went up to Scotland.  We were so lucky and had glorious weather!  I packed lots of clothes for warm weather and wet weather but I did throw in a few teeshirts thankfully.  I never wore a cardigan or sweater the entire week.  We were in a fabulous cottage, with beautiful gardens, on the shores of Loch Ryan so it wouldn't have been a hardship to stay "at home" if the weather was bad. Luckily that was not the case.   I also managed to meet up with a friend who lives near Ayr,  We have known each other for about 35 years and rarely meet but when we do, my goodness you would think we had never been apart!!  John and Jim couldn't get a word in! A great afternoon and evening!

Anyway, my post today is my DT card for the  OSAAT  challenge "Layer It Up"  Now this is a really simple challenge so I'm sure many of you could add a card to it.

My Card

Recipe
7" base card from Anne Marie Designs
pink striped card stock - "Victorian Roses" from The Works
image - "Greek Window" by Ikes Art
corner die - "Austrian Collection" Sue Wilson
Promarkers to colour
pearls - ancient stash

Eventually my card came together well, but I must admit I was struggling initially and realised that rushing to get it done before I went away wasn't working and decided that I would have to give this challenge a miss.  I tried again the next day and I guess because the pressure was gone it came together okay and I like the result. These card stacks fromThe Works are great value at £4 for  a 12 inch card stock.  In fact some are even £3. The dark pink mat behind the image is the reverse of the striped card.

Please pop over to the blog and see what my teamies have come up with.  If you decide to enter you could win $10 to spend in store.

Well that's it from me today.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend whatever you are doing - hopefully something nice!

Snowflakes for Winter Wonderland

Good Morning I hope you are all well. It is dry here but so cold, and it's June .....

Today my card is my DT post for Winter Wonderland.  It is the turn of the Snowflakes Team and Cindy, our hostess this time, has chosen, appropriately, "Snowflakes".  Please remember we just accept Christmas projects.

My Card

Recipe
6" square card base - The Range cardstock
DP - Papermania "Contemporary Christmas" - ancient stash
Embossing folder - magazine freebie
Die - Presscut Round Stitch Hole dies
Silver snowflake - tree decoration bought from Blue Cross charity shop

I temporarily attached the embossed piece to the card front and die cut the hole then sandwiched the thread from the snowflake decoration between the two pieces and glued it together.  Silver Cosmic Shimmer Silver Pearl PVA formed the pearly dots and here I have one extremely simple Christmas card, yet so effective.  It really does look so much better in real than the picture shows.  I knew that snowflake would come in handy one day!!

Please pop across to the blog and see what the rest of the team have made.  I am sure you will be inspired to join in, and what could be more simple than snowflakes?

Our sponsor is LC Designs (used to be known as Little Claire) and they offering  six digi images, and also Drawn With Character who are offering a £10 voucher to spend in store.  So come on, sort out those snowflake stamps and dies and join the challenge.  What have you got to lose?

Well that's it from me.

Take care.
